Established in 2008. Like many great inventions, Iron Tribe Fitness was born of necessity and frustration. In 2008, Forrest Walden wanted a place to do group-based workouts with friends. But he couldn’t find any gyms in the Birmingham, AL area with the right space and equipment. So he started his own gym — in his garage. Today, Iron Tribe has expanded to more than 60 locations in 15 states… and growing. The first Iron Tribe location opened in Homewood, AL in February 2010. The response was overwhelming. All 250 memberships sold out in less than 8 eight months, with a waiting list to get in.
